One of the most popular day tours from Sydney is the Blue Mountains. Famous for stunning views, adventure sports, walking tours and local shops; there is so much to do that most often, visitors normally miss half of the sights. You should really allow at least three days for proper exploration. We’ve put together some of our favourite locations around the Blue Mountains region. It’s the perfect place to visit being a year round destination.

Here are some great places around the Blue Mountains:

Wentworth Falls – includes local art galleries, bush walks and well-known attractions like eponymous falls.

Leura – Quaint Village offering stylish fashion, delicious food, beautiful gardens and houses. A great town to stay for a night or two and complete the area.

Echo Point Lookout – One of the most favourite attractions where you can see the famous Three Sisters overlooking the Jamison Valley. Option: You can even walk down a Giant Staircase; just remember you have to go back up!

Katoomba – A trendy town offering a variety of cool shops and Art Deco buildings. Soak in the views across Megalong Valley at Medlow Bath, Indulge in food at Hydro Majestic Hotel or check out the views from Evans Lookout

Hartley – A little bit further out is a small regional town imposing sandstone building. You’ll see plenty of local folks selling fruit and vegetables.

Jenolan Caves – Visit one of the 280 richly decorated caves, marvel at caves or opt to even stay around the caves for ultimate exploration!
